Refund and Retuns Policy

Private Clients

  • We do not provide refunds or returns on any food items!

Refunds will only be given if the product is returned in its originally packaging completely undamaged. 

Due to Loadshedding and recurring power failures  we are experiencing delays. Refunds will not be given for products that have not been delivered due to loadshedding, we take our products cold chain seriously and will not risk anyone getting sick due to the cold chain being broken for any reason whatsoever.

Big Ben Food Reserves the right to deliver 7 business days after the payment has reflected in our account. Should a client request a refund the merits of the clients request will be considered, it remains at Big Ben food’s sole discretion to grant or refuse refunds. However we will not unreasonably withhold funds. If a refund should be granted such refund will be made after all paperwork has been completed by the consumer in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, and money payed out within 10 business days which is inline with Consumer Protection Act. 

Retail outlets

All Big Ben products pass quality control before leaving our warehouse! If we are responsible for couriering the products to the retail outlet, our courier companies move our product under strict temperature control environments. All products will be signed off and checked once reaching the delivery point. Once delivery has been accepted and signed for it is deemed to have been received in perfect condition.

Should you choose to use your own courier company the responsibility to maintain the cold chain ends once the product leaves our warehouse.

Should a product not sell within a 6 month period the retail store is welcome to return the product.

We do not offer refunds but will gladly exchange the product for the stores best selling products.

Should the store be discontinuing trade a refund will be given based on the following conditions:

  • The product/s are returned in their original undamaged condition with the expiry date not exceeding 3 months till expiring.
  • A copy of the original invoice and proof of payment is produced.
  • The retail outlet is responsible for the returning courier costs of the product/s.
  • Refund is not guaranteed as the products will need to be checked and pass quality control on receiving the product.
